CLOGGED DRAIN
Clogged Drain
Why a Proper Drainage System Matters
A fully functional sump pump discharge line is just as crucial as the sump
pump itself. This system moves excess water away from your home,
preventing water damage, foundation issues, and yard flooding. However,
a clogged, broken, or collapsed discharge line can lead to basement
flooding, water pooling in your yard, and other costly problems. Our team
specializes in drain inspections, repairs, and full line replacements to keep
your home protected.
Our Drain Repair Process
specialized camera to identify the obstruction. Depending on the severity,
we offer different solutions:
Light blockage
A light blockage is debris that is hung up in the pipe and can be broken up
and removed with a jetting.
Costs: We offer this service for $275.
Root intrusion
Roots loves water, and your underground drainpipes are a good source of
that. Cheap thin wall pipe installed by builders and cheap contractors are
not solvent welded (glued) underground, and the joints leak. The nearby
roots chase this water through the leaky joint and into the pipe. Now they
have a direct IV of nutrients, and they grow fast, throughout the pipe. The
proper way to fix this is to excavate the damaged pipe, remove the roots,
and install new. You do not always need a whole new pipe. We can locate
where the root intrusion is, start excavation nearby, and replace only the
damaged pipe.
Costs: We replace damaged drainpipe at $30-$50 per linear foot for heavy duty
schedule 40 PVC pipe with all underground joints solvent welded (glued).
Variables in the pricing will be in the size of the pipe (3” or 4”) and the difficulty
of the excavation with nearby utilities, and large nearby roots.
Sprinkler line obstruction
Sprinkler systems are installed using a directional boring head. This tool
bores through your yard and through most anything in its path, including
your drainpipes. We often find sprinkler lines punched right through the
middle of drainpipes.
Signs of a Clogged Drain
- âžž Pooling water near your home’s foundation, mulch beds, or yard.
- âžž Water overflowing at the riser pipe where it meets the downspout.
- âžž Dampness or flooding in your basement.
- âžž No water discharge at the drainpipe’s exit (curb hole, city storm system, or hillside pop-out).
